Biography
Julia Beatty is an international academic leader, a researcher in veterinary infectious diseases and an RCVS-recognized clinical Specialist in feline medicine.
Jules graduated from the RVC (1989), holds a PhD from the University of Glasgow (1994), Fellowship of the Australia & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (2002) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (2019).
She is currently founding Head of the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at City University, Hong Kong where she is Chair Professor of Veterinary Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
At the University of Sydney (2004-2019), Jules served in a number of leadership roles including Associate Dean for Veterinary Clinical Sciences (2014-2017).
