Biography

Liz Mullineaux is a veterinary surgeon with a specialist interest in British Wildlife, including the appropriate care of wildlife casualties in veterinary practices. She holds a clinical doctorate in this subject and is an RCVS Specialist in Wildlife Medicine (mammalian). Her main professional focus is to help improve the welfare of British wildlife in the wild, in veterinary practices and in wildlife rehabilitation centres. She has published and presented extensive information on the best care of British wildlife for veterinary professionals, students, and wildlife rehabilitators. She also provides advice to government and non-government organisations on wildlife care and wildlife management.

Throughout her career Liz has worked in first opinion practice, previously as a director of a large veterinary hospital and more recently in small animal and emergency practice. She has consistently championed the work of veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses in practice through her roles in veterinary organisations including BVA, BSAVA and BVZS.
