How we make decisions
We have produced guidance for making decisions at Stage 1 and Stage 2 of our concerns investigation process, as detailed below.
Stage 1
Aim: to guide the decision-making process of the Stage 1 Preliminary Investigation Committee as it decides whether to conclude an investigation into a veterinary surgeon or refer a case to Stage 2 Preliminary Investigation Committee.
Stage 2
Aim: to guide the decision-making process of the Stage 2 Preliminary Investigation Committee as it decides whether to refer a case about a veterinary surgeon to the Charter Case Committee, or to Stage 3 (Disciplinary Committee).
