RCVS Question Times and Practice Standards Surgeries
Three times a year, the Presidential team and members of RCVS and VN Councils hit the road to take questions from members of the veterinary practice team across the country.
The agenda for RCVS Question Times is shaped by the attendees' questions, with hot topics discussed robustly by the panel and delegates.
All veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses within reasonable travelling distance of the venues are invited, and other members of the practice team are welcome to attend.
The meetings usually start with the opportunity to catch up with colleagues over a buffet supper from 18:30, then proceed to the meeting itself at 19:30, finishing around 22:00.
Upcoming Question Times
Regional Question Time (RQT) has just taken place in Birmingham on Wednesday, 5 June 2024. Please look out for the next RQT being advertised towards the end of the year where details on how to register will be available.
Practice Standards Scheme Surgeries
In the afternoon before Regional Question Time meetings we often hold free Practice Standards Scheme sessions. If a PSS surgery is being held, there will be information on how to register available from the RCVS Event pages.
A Practice Standards Scheme assessor is available for private appointments to help answer your queries about the Scheme.
We also hold shorter surgeries at various events throughout the year.
We’ll be able to help explain the changes that have been made to the Scheme including: the modular approach, the introduction of the new optional ‘awards’ and give advice on specific questions about module requirements.
The surgeries are open to existing PSS members and those considering joining the Scheme for the first time. Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Upcoming PSS Surgeries
We are not advertising any PSS Surgeries for the moment.
