VetGDP information to help you get started
New graduates and VetGDP Advisers are invited to register for the programme and begin to decide and prioritise new graduates’ activities and support needs as they start work.
Outlined below are the steps that need to be completed before you access the e-portfolio.
VetGDP Advisers
- Complete your online training and VetGDP declaration
Once you have completed the VetGDP Adviser e-learning please sign into My Account on the RCVS website to sign a declaration and confirm your relationship with your practice or workplace. This step-by-step guide will help you complete this.
Once this is complete, and the practice or workplace has also completed their VetGDP declaration, the new graduates who have joined your practice will be able to select you as their VetGDP Adviser.
Graduates
- Complete your VetGDP statement
Sign into My Account on the RCVS website and select the VetGDP statement that best suits your current circumstances. This is a requirement even if you wish to apply for an exemption from the VetGDP. This step-by-step guide will help guide you through the process.
Practices/Workplaces
- Complete your practice VetGDP declaration
In order to become an RCVS Approved Graduate Development Practice or Workplace, the nominated senior veterinary surgeon at the practice must complete their VetGDP Declaration in My Account.
Please note that this can be completed after the VetGDP Adviser(s) in the practice or workplace have made their declaration. This step-by-step guide will guide you through the process.
If you have any questions about the VetGDP please get in touch with the Education team by emailing [email protected].
